What is GreenTour?

Tourism is one of the most popular ways to enjoy free time and learn from new cultures, as well as see beautiful places and meet new people, but it also can have a significant impact on the environment. Are you aware there’s a greener way to enjoy new places, learn from diverse people and experience new cultures?

GreenTour is a 2-year Erasmus+ Project for Youth, that aims to promote green entrepreneurship sustainable eco-tourism, showing that you don’t have to be a business genius to launch a sustainable tourism business in your local area!

What are our goals?

With 6 partners representing 5 EU countries (France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Greece), GreenTour will provide cutting-edge content on how to start your own green entrepreneurship through eco-tourism and sustainable activities, such as the project’s Eco-Tourism-based Competence Framework for Young Green Entrepreneurs, as well as the project’s innovative and engaging Online Course for potential Eco-Tourers, and project Handbook, featuring tips, resources and ideas to launch your own eco-tourism green enterprise. But that’s not all, the project will also launch a capacity-building Toolkit for our innovative Youth Exchange in Guadeloupe, one of the world’s leading eco-tourism hotspots! If you’re interested in this Youth Exchange or any content developed, make sure to keep track of us!

What have we been doing?

On the 12th of July, partners gathered in beautiful Amersfoort, in the Netherlands, to kick off the project and start work on the project’s Eco-Tourism Competence Framework, exchanging ideas and cultures to best understand the great potential of the sector and how we can reach our full potential.

Partners’ Kickoff meeting in the Netherlands allowed the project to get off to a hugely productive start!
